Cynthia K. Brattesani, DDS
Dr. Brattesani earned her degree in 1989 from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry. She has served as president of the San Francisco Dental Society, as a council chair of the ADA and as a member of several committees, task forces and delegations. In 1994, she served as a Woman's Spokesperson for the ADA. In 2015, she was honored with the prestigious UCSF Alumni 150th Anniversary Award. This recognition was granted to only 150 alumni throughout the healthcare campus at UCSF. During the COVID pandemic, CDA media selected Dr. Brattesani to represent dentistry on TV and radio and was quoted in several newspaper articles. She has also been inducted in the Class of 2022 Top 100 World Doctor-to-Doctor—a preeminent peer to peer global organization. And congratulations, Dr Brattesani, for receiving the 2025 UCSF Dental Alumni Association Medal of Honor Award given for exceptional dedication, service and contributions to the profession.
At an early stage of her career, she became a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Brattesani lectures internationally on technology in the dental office focusing on improving the patient positive experience. She also lectures to dental students at the UCSF and UOP Schools of Dentistry on the challenges and benefits of the dental profession. She maintains a busy general private practice in San Francisco.
