Are you maximizing your ultrasonic technology to its fullest potential? Research shows that dental hygienists are not keeping pace and are underutilizing ultrasonics. In this unique workshop, participants will work with active magnetostrictive units, typodonts, a variety of ultrasonic inserts and simulated calculus and biofilm to practice increasing their periodontal debridement speed and effectiveness.
October-December: $260 January-February: $285
Attendee Requirements: -Loupes/Safety Glasses
Learning Objectives:
Discuss the benefits and challenges of ultrasonic technology for the removal of calculus, stain, and biofilm within both the traditional and contemporary ultrasonic debridement approaches.
.
Compare ultrasonic active tip characteristics (diameter, shape, cross section, tip activity) and discuss how selection and sequencing can improve biofilm, calculus and stain removal.
.
Demonstrate a variety of technique elements that can improve clinical outcomes, increase procedural speed and create a more comfortable appointment for patients.
