Dani Botbyl, RDH is an educator, author, and award-winning researcher specializing in ultrasonic debridement. She has been a trailblazer in advancing ultrasonic technology in dental hygiene practice and education throughout North America and internationally. Dani led the first team of researchers to study ultrasonic instrumentation education in dental hygiene programs, resulting in numerous publications in industry and peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. She is co-author of the second edition of Ultrasonic Periodontal Debridement: Theory and Technique (2024) and a contributing author to the sixth edition of Darby and Walsh Dental Hygiene Theory and Practice (2024). She has delivered hundreds of evidence-based lectures and workshops to dental hygiene students, faculty, and clinicians worldwide. Dani served as National Clinical Educator with Dentsply Sirona from 2000–2023 and taught at Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ontario, Canada, for more than a decade. Her passion for enhancing the practice of dental hygiene makes her presentations dynamic and highly impactful.
