Description: In a dental office, each day can come with new surprises. Since the majority of active dental patients have some type of dental benefits (insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc), it is quite common for administrative team members to spend the majority of their time preparing claims, filing claims, appealing denied claims, and many other insurance related functions that are required to keep insurance related accounts receivables up to date. This course will discuss solutions to the following daily issues that dental practices face: 1. Consistent denial of clean claims 2. Preventing and managing refund requests by insurance 3. Being dropped (pushed out of network) by insurance and with no prior notice to you 4. Minimizing and eliminating statements to patients (for situations where out of pocket estimates to the patient were low) 5. Professionally handling frustration from patients that result from non-coverage or lack of coverage on the part of insurance 6. Understanding why you were audited and how to respond to insurance audits in general 7. Managing situations where insurance changes treatment definitions to downgrade
