Dr. Janey Prodoehl is a Professor in the Physical Therapy Program and College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She earned her physical therapy degree in Leeds, England, a Master of Science from Rosalind Franklin University, and completed doctoral and post-doctoral studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. With more than 30 years of experience, she specializes in outpatient orthopedics and is certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist. Her clinical practice focuses on neck pain, orofacial pain, headache, and dry needling, while her research examines motor control and musculoskeletal dysfunction, particularly related to orofacial pain and posture. A Certified Cervical & Temporomandibular Therapist, she has authored numerous publications and currently leads the development of a clinical practice guideline on Temporomandibular Disorders for the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She also serves on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine TMD Forum.
