Dr. Ronald S. Jacobson is in private practice at Jacobson & Tsou Orthodontics and holds faculty positions with the UIC Department of Orthodontics, the Lurie Children’s Dental Division, and the University of Detroit Mercy Department of Orthodontics. He serves on craniofacial teams at Lurie Children’s Hospital, the UIC Craniofacial Center, and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. A native Chicagoan, Dr. Jacobson earned his DDS and MS in orthodontics from Northwestern University Dental School in 1989. He taught at Northwestern for 10 years and joined the craniofacial team at Children’s Memorial (now Lurie Children’s) in 1992. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005 and has published and lectured extensively on cleft lip and palate, orthognathic surgery, and advanced orthodontic technology. A past president of the Midwest Component of the Edward H. Angle Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and the North Side Branch of the Chicago Dental Society, he maintains practices in Chicago, Vernon Hills, and Barrington.
