Dr. Avinash Bidra is a board-certified maxillofacial prosthodontist and Professor and Director of the Prosthodontics Residency Program at the UConn School of Dental Medicine. He maintains a part-time private practice limited to implantology in Glastonbury, CT. A national and international lecturer, he has published extensively in scientific journals and developed diagnostic and treatment protocols as well as surgical and prosthodontic safety checklists used by clinicians and residency programs across the country. He has also invented implant prosthetic components that are commercially available in the United States. Dr. Bidra is the recipient of the Distinguished Clinician Award and the Educator of the Year Award from the American College of Prosthodontists.
