Dr. William J. Moorhead, DMD, has developed and teaches systems and strategies to address common practice challenges including absenteeism, turnover, training, and high overhead. Always seeking practical solutions, he not only implements systems to streamline management and clinical efficiency in his own practice, but also shares these strategies with other dentists and their teams through speaking and consulting. Affectionately known as “Dr. Checklist,” Dr. Moorhead lectures nationwide on systems management, clinical efficiency, medical emergencies, and treating anxious patients. He practices full time in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, is co-founder of IV Sedation Training for Dentists LLC—a 90-hour course teaching general dentists moderate sedation—and is the founder of StreamDent® software, which provides customizable office checklists to reduce errors and improve onboarding. Dr. Moorhead has served as President of his component dental society and as Past President of the Kentucky Dental Association. He holds Fellowships in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists. He is also a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, and the Blue Grass Dental Society.
