Endodontic success is dependent on a variety of interrelated factors, but removal of bacteria from the root canal system is the ultimate goal. Obviously, some canals are more difficult to locate and negotiate, and all canals must be shaped to the root apex to achieve maximum disinfection. This lecture will include a comprehensive review of glide path management to provide the clinician with several options to treat the most complex root canal anatomies. Reproducible techniques early in the procedure to transform complicated root canal anatomies into predictably manageable cases will be a focus of the discussion, along with an evidence-based review of cutting-edge instrumentation techniques. Enhanced irrigation protocols will be explored before presenting state-of-the-art obturation techniques designed to increase efficiency and predictability.
Fee: October-December: $90 January-February: $130
Learning Objectives:
Develop clinically relevant strategies for locating typical root canal anatomies and for identifying the hard-to-find canals.
Explain the importance of enhanced irrigation following shaping of the root canal system.
Utilize predictable techniques to treat any root canal anatomy in spite of perceived difficulty.
