The typical general dentist will administer over 1500 cartridges of local anesthetic a year. Mastering the available techniques and choosing the right anesthetic can make the difference between an easy appointment and a frustrating experience. After laying the foundation, anesthetic choices and techniques will be discussed using case presentations.
Fee: October-December: $50 January-February: $70
Learning Objectives:
Understand advantages/disadvantages in local anesthetic options and be able to formulate an anesthetic plan based on the patient's medical history and planned procedure.
Understand local anatomical challenges and choose the best option for success.
