Pain control in dentistry is essential for patient comfort, reducing operator stress, and minimizing after-hours phone calls. Using case-based presentations, the use of local anesthesia and oral medications will be reviewed to maximize pain control for your patients. Part I (LS221) is not required for Part II.

Learning Objectives:
Utilize a patient's medical history and pain history to be able to formulate a comprehensive pain management plan intra- and post-op.
Gain a better understanding of pain mechanisms and how to minimize them, improving patient comfort.
Gain confidence with the use of local anesthetics and other pain controlling methods for improved patient comfort.
