Peter J. Ackerman, CPA, CVA, graduated from Miami University in 1995 with a degree in Accounting and General Business. He began his career at Lane Industries and joined ADS Midwest in 1996, where he now serves as principal of the firm. Under his leadership, ADS Midwest has become the largest and most respected dental practice transition firm in the Midwest, earning the endorsement of the Illinois State Dental Society in 2010. Mr. Ackerman has held numerous leadership roles, including president of ADS Transitions—the largest network of independent dental practice brokers, appraisers, and consultants in the United States. He is a two-term chairman of the board of the Professional Management Consultants Association and currently serves on the American Dental Association’s Strategic Forecasting Committee. A frequent presenter and contributor to industry publications, he is also co-author and editor of "The Affluent Dentist."
