A graduate of the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, James L. Cassidy Jr., DMD, CDT, has practiced in Macon, Georgia, since 1983. His strong interest in dental laboratory technology led him to achieve CDT certification in 1992. He currently practices with his son, Dr. James L. Cassidy III, and daughter-in-law, Dr. Wendy Cardenas, while his son Charles owns and operates Cassidy Dental Labs in Macon. Dr. Cassidy has lectured extensively across the U.S. and Canada and served as a faculty member in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Georgia. He has taught removable partial denture and complete denture courses for the AGD Master Track Program at the University of Florida for many years. He is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the American Equilibration Society, the American Dental Association, the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International College of Dentists. He is also a past president of the Bibb County Dental Society. Dr. Cassidy is an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and is married to the former Wendy Merkert of Savannah, Georgia.
