Dr. Setareh Lavasani, DDS, MS, Diplomate ABOMR, FICD, FACD, is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist and tenured Professor who serves as Director of Oral Radiology & Advanced Imaging at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine (Pomona, California). Internationally recognized for her expertise in advanced dental imaging and CBCT, Dr. Lavasani has delivered lectures, hands-on courses, and mini-residencies across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, and was named a “CE Leader” by Dentistry Today magazine.
She is the founder of the Lavasani Diagnostic Institute (www.lavasanidx.com), which provides evidence-based, multidisciplinary continuing education on CBCT applications, advanced imaging, and AI in dentistry for dentists, specialists, and dental hygienists, along with radiology reporting services for referring clinicians. Dr. Lavasani is also a co-author of multiple textbook chapters, including Fundamentals of Oral Radiology, the first interactive digital textbook in the field.
