Dr. Alfred Wyatt, Jr. has practiced dentistry for more than 40 years and has studied lasers and light technologies for over two decades. A native of Atlanta, GA, he earned his B.S. in biology from Clark College (1980) and his DMD from the Medical College of Georgia (1984). He now serves as Associate Professor of Oral Rehabilitation at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. Wyatt is active in numerous professional organizations, including the National Dental Association (Speaker’s Bureau), American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society (president, 2005), Georgia Dental Association, North Georgia Dental Society, Christian Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Society. He is also a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), where he has served on the board of directors, chaired the Education Committee, and currently chairs the certification testing committee. He holds Advanced Proficiency and Educator Status with ALD. He has authored or co-authored publications on the clinical use of light technologies and has trained dentists internationally. Dr. Wyatt also serves as a dental editor for WebMD. His service includes mission trips to Haiti, volunteering at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic, and treating athletes and dignitaries at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Personally, Dr. Wyatt is the proud father of two daughters, Sharla and Nina, and grandfather to London and Layla.
