Advanced Dental Therapist, Dental Hygienist
Apple Tree Dental
New Hope, Minnesota, United States
Heather Luebben holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and a Master of Science in Advanced Dental Therapy. A member of the first graduating class of dental therapists at Metropolitan State University, she was the second certified Advanced Dental Therapist in Minnesota. She has worked in both private practice and public health settings, and has been with Apple Tree Dental since 2008. As a dual licensed dental hygienist and advanced dental therapist, she provides patient care in clinic as well as in mobile settings to children, adults, seniors, and people with special healthcare needs. Her practice includes teledentistry and mobile dentistry, and she is a key member of Apple Tree’s pediatric and special care programs. Heather triages patients and helps them navigate their appointments, while also providing families with appropriate information—integrating social determinants of health that empower them to be an integral part of their oral care team. She is also a member of Apple Tree’s Clinical Innovations team, which continually re-evaluates services to ensure they are patient- and family-centered, with an emphasis on minimally invasive care and optimal interventions.
