H300 - Implants in Action: A Hands-On Workshop for the Dental Hygienist

Join periodontal hygienist, speaker, author, and consultant Katrina M Sanders, RDH, BSDH, M.Ed, RF, for an immersive, hands-on experience in dental implant care. This practical workshop brings the science of implant maintenance to life as participants move from theory to tactile clinical application.

Together, we’ll begin by reviewing foundational implant knowledge—from systemic considerations and risk assessment to periimplant tissue evaluation. From there, participants will engage in guided hands-on exercises focused on non-surgical instrumentation techniques, biofilm disruption protocols, and supportive therapeutic modalities designed for varying levels of periimplant health and disease.

Through real-world simulation and product exploration, clinicians will gain confidence in selecting and using instrumentation, therapeutics, and patient home care tools that align with the standards of care in periimplant maintenance.
