There is an interesting and complex history of autism. The condition has many controversies. The program will discuss many of the challenges facing these individuals in the community. Behavior guidance skills and an understanding of the related medications are essential. Throughout the presentation numerous references to the dental office will be made.

Understand associated disabilities, abilities and co-occuring medical conditions with autism.
Be able to exercise skills associated with behavior mangement specific to the patient with autism.
